Messages From Our Pastor

The Bible declares, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”  The world’s reliance on technology is evolving at a rapid pace.  It is believed that every 6 months, significant technological improvements represent dramatic modifications to the previous generations of tech products.  Ten short years ago, most of us would not have imagined that we would be surfing the internet and checking our emails from our hand held devices.  Wi-Fi was not a household term.  We would not have imagined that flipping through a floppy Bible would almost be a thing of the past as we now read the Word from our tablets and cell phones.  Only God knows what technological innovations lie ahead and how they will impact our culture!

As God is in the business of making all things become new, we now launch our next generation of the Springfield Baptist Church website at www.sbclive.org.  I personally would like to thank all of the staff, leaders, technicians and dozens of ministry partners that have contributed many hours to this project.  We believe that we have developed a Web 2.0 internet presence that not only provides the vital information of Springfield but our new site will also facilitate greater interaction for our members.  While the infrastructure has been greatly improved, please know that our site continues to be a work in progress.  Take time to peruse our new site and check back at least weekly to discover what we’ve added.  May the Lord grant us the wisdom to continue to offer Christ to the real world beginning from our Iris Drive campus and to the virtual world via the internet at www.sbclive.org.  Behold our newest creation.

Yours in Christian Service,

Pastor Eric Wendel Lee
